Humor is an essential element in one’s life. There is a positive response to humor among people of all ages. The Sense of Humor is considered to be in a person who is able to be laugh or smile at something funny. It is an ability, rather, an in-built talent, although the degree varies from person to person.

The daily challenges and the stress we have in daily life sucks our energy. Humor is one necessary element needed to have a healthy life at work and at home. Humor binds us together, lightens our burdens and helps us keep everything in perspective.

Humor is one character which makes an individual more attractive. One can feel comfortable with a person who is humorous enough as there will be no fear of landing up in serious conversations. Laughter is one thing which bonds various cracks among hearts at various circumstances. It also boosts our immune system and reduces blood pressure.

Humor is a negative thing when it comes to sarcasm, criticism, teasing, etc. Otherwise, humor is a very positive element bringing out the energy. It always helps us to see the brighter side of life. It helps to beat out the stress we face in day-to-day life.

The fact is children laugh more than the adult. Adults are too busy in worrying about their worries. Is it not? You know laughter actually helps in sucking more oxygen, which is obviously good for health. It takes 14 muscles to frown and just 9 muscles to smile! Nowadays there are humor clubs where the main and the only activity is laughing. Laugh loud once, you can feel the stress just getting out of you. This is what people do in such clubs to get away with stress and feel more healthier. After all Laughter is the Best Medicine.

Swine Flu

People with regular exposure to pigs are at increased risk of Swine flu. Although the name ’swine flu’ is dreadful as such, it is to be noted that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus, just another type of flu virus. It has our typical seasonal flu symptoms.

This swine virus has components of pig and bird influenza viruses in it, so that humans do not have any immunity to it. Hence it is believed to be pandemic as it is highly contagious.

Symptoms of swine flu infections can include: very high fever, cough, running nose, aches, sore throat, extreme fatigue or tiredness, abnormal dehydration. If serious, there may be signs of pneumonia and respiratory failure.

Though there is no need to fear about children with a common cough or cold, it is always safe to have a swine flu test if the condition persists for a very long time. Having seen and heard about the death of the small girl Rida at Pune Hospital, it is advisable to have the test done at a public hospital or government-recommended hospitals and labs.

Rida’s family can fight and get a compensation for her death, but that poor girl will never come back to them. That loss can never be compensated!

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!

Using an ATM

ATMs, “Automatic Teller Machines”, are an easy, convenient way to access your account from almost anywhere. The instructions that are right there on the machine make ATMs more user-friendly even for a new user.

More people are now moving towards using the ATM for their banking needs. According to a 2006 survey by Banknet India, 95% people now prefer this modern channel to traditional mode of banking. Almost 60% people use an ATM at least once a week. As it can be used as a Debit Card as well, cash-carrying burden is greatly reduced among people. The ATM cards can be used overseas also. ATM cards have international validity and transactions can be done throughout the world and the service charges for this are quite reasonable.

Few things which we need to be careful about ATMs are: It is always advisable to be alone while using ATMs as the PIN Number needs to be more confidential. Else there is a chance of electronic hacking. Any theft of the card must be notified to the bank immediately. Please look the machine for familiarity before you insert the card, if it is unfamiliar it might be an ATM Scam. Please finish your transactions at the ATMs as quickly as possible for more safety and it not only saves our time but also of the people waiting…

Though the usage of ATMs is user friendly to the urban population, it is not of great help to the illiterate rural masses. So, ATMs are less popular over there. As a solution to this, ATMs with biometric devices are in the ongoing effort to offer banking services to the rural and illiterate masses.

Apparently, in spite of the very few delimitations, we should accept that this system has brought more comfort to human life if used safely!

Young adult women will need to adjust their diet during pregnancy. The kind of diet woman has had all of her life will be reflected during pregnancy. Study after study shows that teen-age girls do not eat foods that contain nutrients necessary for health. Thus when during the time of pregnancy they have low stores of nutrients, especially calcium.

Milk is chief among calcium. Milk is extremely important during pregnancy which supply calcium for skeletal growth. Not only Milk, Meats, Fish, Poultry, Cheese, and Eggs also provide proteins. Proteins are in cereals and vegetables too.

During the first four months of pregnancy, the growth of fetus is so small. Many women eat in voracious manner because she is ‘eating for two’. The difficulty is that it results in overweight and lead to serious problems. If vomiting is serious your physician should be consulted immediately. Losing food over a period of time may lead to malnutrition. The next three months do not demand much additional increase in food. Attention should be paid to have sufficient protein of good quality, vitamins and minerals. The greatest growth of fetus occurs during last eight to ten weeks, food essentials must be increased accordingly. Food should be more of protein, vitamins, and minerals rather than calories, so that the growth of child will be well fortified with the materials it needs for development.

What you eat during pregnancy is of greatest importance. If you follow the guidance of doctor and adhere living habits, having a healthy baby can be a pleasant and satisfying experience.
